In response to comment asking whether PM Modi asked President Putin about Russian bombings in Aleppo, Syria, and consequent suffering faced by innocent and defenseless babies, I (Ravi) wrote:

Bombing in Aleppo and in Yemen and in the past in Afghanistan, Ukraine, Iraq, Palestine, ..... These are tough questions for whichever country/ies is/are involved in the bombing. .... But when it comes to India and Russia, Russia is an old time-tested friend of India which has stood by India in its time of need.

In response to comment about Mr. Modi being a follower of Sathya Sai Baba who understands the principle of Love All Serve All, and so Modi should look beyond his own nation and have concern about lives of little souls, I (Ravi) wrote:

Oh well! India faces severe aggression threats from some of her neighbours and has had quite a few wars and skirmishes over the past fifty to sixty years. The PM of the country is expected to handle the major responsibility of defending the country from aggression along with some key ministers like defence minister. As it is we keep facing cross border attacks in the north west of India. .... The suffering not only in Aleppo but also in Yemen as well as in Libya, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan are a serious but separate matter. Only countries that have the ability to defend themselves against foreign aggression can be in a position to influence peace efforts in such war torn areas.

In response to comment that there is a planned holocaust for newly born ones taking place in Aleppo, Syria, and if the leaders don't try to even stand up to defend the smallest, the leaders who publicly declare their guru is Sathya Sai then where the world is heading off?, I (Ravi) wrote:

Well, I don't think the Indian Prime Minister should be held responsible for the very unfortunate and tragic killing and suffering in Aleppo or Yemen. These situations, IMHO, can be handled fairly only by an unbiased international body which has the power to make the appropriate investigations and reveal the truth. Perhaps the world bodies today are not powerful enough to do that role. ... It is the big powers who are permanent members of the Security Council of the UN who need to figure it out. Very unfortunately, the relations between some of them seem to be getting strained! That creates a terrible situation for the rest of us as one does not really know what the truth is. It becomes a propaganda war besides any other real battles!!!

[Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi:] Held extensive talks with President Putin. His affection for India & role in enhancing India-Russia ties is a major source of strength.
