Very disappointing to see US President Trump say that US media is the cause for very "big part of the Anger" in USA today

I don't think the 2016 USA presidential election atmosphere was as vicious and dangerous as this 2018 mid-term election atmosphere has become. My prayers to God for peace and harmony in the USA.

Trump Criticizes the Media as Pipe Bombs Target Democrats and CNN, https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/25/us/politics/trump-attacks-media-bombs.html, 25th Oct. 2018

I have to say that it seems to me that US President Trump, given the recent pipe bombs attack attempt on top Democratic Party leaders and CNN (a top media house), is very wrong in saying that a "very big part of the Anger" seen in US society has been caused by mainstream US media.

I recall seeing an interaction of a reporter with the Late Senator John McCain where McCain said that adversarial press or media is something that President Trump has to accept (or words to that effect). If I recall correctly, McCain said that he also was sometimes unhappy with the adversarial press criticism of him, but that he accepted it as part of US democracy.

Trump may not like what CNN, NBC, New York Times, Washington Post and others may say or write about him. But to attempt to put the blame on these mainstream media outlets of the USA, for the Anger in US society today and thereby suggest blame for the dangerous pipe-bombs attempted attacks is very unfair and dangerous. It may whip up frenzy among some violent supporters of President Trump leading them to try to do such dangerous things.

I have to say that while I liked what President Trump said recently, where he unequivocally condemned the pipe-bombs attack attempt against Democratic Party leaders and CNN (see https://ravisiyermisc.blogspot.com/2018/10/good-to-see-unequivocal-condemnation.html), I am very disappointed that he moved away from that message in these later comments of his.
