A warm welcome to President Putin of Russia (Russian Federation). Russia is an old and time-tested friend of India right from 1950s - soon after India's independence in 1947. As an Indian resident and citizen, I fully support maintaining close ties with our time-tested friend - Russia.

As an Indian citizen and resident, I would very much like India to maintain good friendly ties with both Russia and USA. But our friendship with any one of these two countries should not require us to dilute our friendship with the other country. That is unacceptable to India, a sovereign country.
