Nadiya chale chale re dhara - Oldie (1970) evergreen Hindi film philosophical song with English translation
The flow of the river has been a philosophical theme of some oldie Hindi film songs. Go with the flow of life like water goes with the flow of the river.
And I love watching rivers and the sea. So I have a particular fondness for songs about rivers and seas.
I have loosely (and quickly) translated the song. I think it is a great reflection of the philosophy and attitude of the times then (1960s and 70s) in India (at least Hindi film watching parts of India).

The river keeps moving and so does the current keep moving
The moon keeps moving and so do the stars
You will have to keep moving (walk). You will have to keep moving
Life never ever stops at a place
It does not get scared of storms and tempests
If you do not move the paths will keep moving
Your eyes will pine for the destination
You will have to keep moving (walk). You will have to keep moving
The river keeps moving and so does the current keep moving
The moon keeps moving and so do the stars
You will have to keep moving (walk). You will have to keep moving
He crossed the journey who remained in the journey
He who stopped got caught up in the whirlpool
What about the boat, the shore itself will get swept away
The current of time is very fast
You will have to keep moving (walk). You will have to keep moving
The river keeps moving and so does the current keep moving
The moon keeps moving and so do the stars
You will have to keep moving (walk). You will have to keep moving

Nadiya Chale Chale Yeh Dhara | Manna Dey | Safar 1970 Songs | Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila Tagore, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaxNurIcFXM, around 3 min 30 secs (followed by ads for other songs for 15 to 20 secs which can be skipped).
Here's a nice orchestra rendition of the song perhaps in 2016, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7DXzsDXWo8, 4 min. 47 secs.
An interesting rendition of it perhaps in 2013: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-z0PmoCK9w
Liked this 2015 rendition. The singer is dressed in a plain way but he sings well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxNMIYNkGH4
