Chicago: Bystanders yell anti-Trump taunts as man beaten after minor car accident

Warning: This post has disturbing content. Readers who prefer not to read such stuff may please ignore this post.

The link below is a detailed report on the incident where a white man was kicked and beaten by young African-Americans, and then as he hung on to his car by holding on to a car door frame from outside, he was, as per his version, nearly killed as the car was driven at high speed by one of group who attacked him.

The article also has a video interview with the victim, Mr. David Wilcox, who describes his horrendous experience and shows the damage done to his body by it.

As per Wilcox, the incident was sparked by his car being side-swiped/hit by the attackers' car at which time, Wilcox stopped his car, got out of it, and asked the attackers about their insurance papers. There was also a comment about him being a (white boy) Trump supporter. Wilcox asked what that had to do with it and that he just wanted the insurance papers (of the attackers' car). It is not clear from Wilcox's interview whether he had acknowledged at that time that he had voted for Trump or perhaps even defended it.

Anyway, in response, the attackers started beating him up.

The 'he voted for Trump' or similar words heard in the video seem to be words spoken by bystanders at a nearby bus-stop (one of whom seems to have shot the video).

So the incident did not start off as something related to Trump winning the election.

I unequivocally CONDEMN the horrific beating and near killing of the white American, Mr. David Wilcox by young African-Americans. Mr Wilcox, as per his version, was only trying to stand up for his rights in asking for car insurance papers from them, after his car was side-swiped/hit by their car.

Please note that I have a PUBLICLY NEUTRAL informal-student-observer role in these posts that I put up about the USA presidential elections. Of course, as I am an Indian citizen living in India, there is no question of me voting in these elections.
