-------I made the following comment today, on 6th Sept. 2018 on Facebook post of U.S. Embassy India, https://www.facebook.com/India.usembassy/posts/1887498054699548 dated (late night) 5th Sept. 2018, having pics of US Secy. of State Mike Pompeo being welcomed by Indian External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and U.S. Secy. of Defense James Mattis being welcomed by Indian Defense minister Nirmala Sitharaman :
Warm welcome to India to USA Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, USA Secretary of Defense James Mattis and their teams for the inaugural U.S.-India 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue. As an Indian citizen based in India, I fully support strengthening USA - India relations, due to shared values of democracy including its vital aspect of freedom of speech, rule of law, freedom of religious faith including respect for those with no faith, majority of its citizens being believers in God, and emphasis on industry, innovation and trade to sustain and improve the material lives of the citizens of their respective countries.
As a believer in God, for me particularly, USA and India both having a majority of its population as believers in God, is a very important shared value. USA has around 79% of its population as believers in God (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_the_United_States), whereas India has around 99% of its population as believers in God (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_India#Religious_demographics). Note that both USA and India government and courts of law provide atheists and agnostics full freedom to have no belief in God and not to associate with any religious faith.
My prayers to Almighty God to sustain and improve the relations between USA and India.
