Harsh outburst from African-American mother in Minnesota, USA, on police officer who shot her son dead, being ruled innocent, Philando Castile's Mom: "Yall Are Next!" | BABYLON WATCH SPECIAL REPORT, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsTGh8JoIEA, 5 min. 24 secs.

I recall reading and viewing about the tragic incident around a year back. The lady in the car had put up a Facebook Live video after Philando Castile was shot.

Here's an article from the NYT having some expert views on the matter, https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/21/us/video-police-shooting-philando-castile-trial.html.

Ravi: It is hard not to feel that African-Americans in the USA are being treated badly by USA police at least in some cases. Some of the African-Americans can be big and so can be viewed as physically threatening by some USA police but then the police have the arms and ideally should have the training to handle such situations.

The killing of Philando Castile could surely have been avoided. I am not blaming the police officer per se. Perhaps it is a culture and police procedures issue.

And USA law seems to be that if a police officer FEELS THREATENED by some actions of a person which could be presumed to be dangerous, the police officer can kill to protect himself/herself! In this case, Castile seems to have reached out to get his license (some say gun, with intention to show it to the police officer but not fire at him) but the police officer thought he was reaching for his gun, and so the police officer fired 7 bullets (not 1 or 2 but 7 bullets) some of which hit and eventually killed Castile.

My heart goes out to Castile's mom and sister who spoke in the video. Heart-wrenching stuff!

BTW in my car driving days in the USA sometime in the 80s and early 90s in states like New Hampshire, Massachusetts and California, I never felt that threatened by USA police. Yes, I recall being told that if the police flags you down, you should park on the breakdown lane/side of the road and wait for the officer to come up to you. And keep both your hands visible to the officer and move slowly while responding to his/her instructions. I recall something about police shootouts with criminals on the run when the police had flagged down their car. ... But I think I was flagged down only once and don't recall the incident clearly.

I am so disappointed to see so many cases of African-American car drivers in the USA being given rather unfair treatment by the police, with some such cases resulting very tragically in police shooting African-American car drivers.
