Egypt leader Nasser in 1958/1966 speaks against compulsory wearing of hijab/scarf; Issues similar today in many Muslim countries

Note: I have tried to avoid offending any conservative Muslim readers of this post. In fact, the earlier version of this post shared a Facebook video that had additional text which was not really truthful and fair to Egypt leader Nasser. I later realized that it may have offended some conservative Muslim readers and so searched for some youtube videos of that same speech which is more accurate in its share of Nasser's speech extract and have given that below.
However, if the content of this post is still offensive to some conservative Muslims, I would like to know their views and request them to comment on my post sharing their views. I respect conservative Muslims who choose to follow conservative Muslim lifestyle including women wearing hijab/scarf. In this post I have only tried to share different views on such lifestyle being imposed on all Muslims, between moderate and ultra-conservative leaders of some Muslim countries.
And I must also say that I am a devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba who dressed as a Muslim fakir and used to frequently say, "Allah Malik" (God/Allah is the master/owner). I too say & publicly write "Allah Malik" at times and have reverence for Allah as viewed/interpreted by mystics like Shirdi Sai Baba.
Here's a youtube video of a speech made by Egypt's leader Nasser in 1958/1966 (some videos date it as 1958 and some as 1966), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fswb4a9jcU, 2 min 36 secs.

Ravi: The issues between moderate and ultra-conservative sides that we see today in many Muslim countries seems to have been quite the same in Egypt in 1958!

As per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hijab_by_country#Egypt, "According to The New York Times, as of 2007 about 90 percent of Egyptian women currently wear a headscarf." Note that in 2007, Hosni Mubarak was Egypt's leader.

So, as compared to 1958/1966 many more of Egypt's women may be wearing hijab/scarf. That seems to have changed. However, the underlying issue of the conservative/ultra-conservative leaders of Egypt wanting hijab/scarf wearing by women made mandatory and enforced by the state, but the moderate leaders of Egypt not agreeing with that stand, is the same now in Egypt today in 2017 as it was in 1958/1966.

The above video show a diplomatic and shrewd Gamal Abdel Nasser, then (1958) leader of Egypt, share in a gathering, how he tried to convince the conservative/ultra-conservative leader of Muslims in Egypt then (Muslim brotherhood leader), that ladies wearing the hijab or scarf must be left to choice of ladies/homes rather than imposed on all ladies in Egypt by him (Nasser) as the leader of Egypt.

The current leader of Egypt is General el-Sisi who took office in June 2014 after winning the presidential election in end May 2014, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Presidents_of_Egypt.

From the same wikipedia link, "Mohamed Morsi took office on 30 June 2012, after being elected by the presidential election held on 23–24 May and 16–17 June 2012. He was deposed by the Egyptian Armed Forces in a coup d'état on 3 July 2013, following massive protests calling for his resignation."  Mohammad Morsi is associated with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Another piece of relevant info. in this context is that General el-Sisi was the defense minister in Morsi's cabinet and the commander-in-chief of the Egyptian armed forces. General el-Sisi was involved in the coup that ousted Mohamed Morsi, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdel_Fattah_el-Sisi.
