Great to see clear support from US armed forces to rule of law and for inauguration of Joe Biden as US President and Commander-in-Chief on 20th Jan. 2021

"The violent riot in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021 was a direct assault on the U.S. Congress, the Capitol building, and our Constitutional process."

"We witnessed actions inside the Capitol building that were inconsistent with the rule of law. The rights of freedom of speech and assembly do not give anyone the right to resort to violence, sedition and insurrection."

"On January 20, 2021, in accordance with the Constitution, confirmed by the states and the courts, and certified by Congress, President-elect Biden will be inaugurated and will become our 46th Commander in Chief."

I think that settles the matter. Right-wing militias in USA (some of whose members seem to have participated in the riot/insurrection in US Capitol) are no match for US armed forces.

But what a scare the riot/insurrection in US Capitol was to democracy and rule of law in USA!

I should also say that I am a grateful beneficiary, a lover and an open supporter of democracy in India, and in other democratic countries of the world in general, including USA.
