[Indian PM Narendra Modi:] A partnership powered by technology and innovation.
President Moon Jae-in and I inaugurated Samsung Mobile's new production unit in Noida. This is a special moment for India’s manufacturing sector.
In my Facebook share of the above at https://www.facebook.com/ravi.s.iyer.7/posts/2210122335870998, I wrote the following:
Wonderful to see such flowering of ties between South Korea and India. Great to see Samsung set up this manufacturing facility for mobiles in India. BTW I am watching this on a Samsung TFT monitor!
Really happy to see democracy, free enterprise and trade in/between two sovereign Asian countries of South Korea and India, flourish. My prayers to God for these ties to grow and result in closer people-to-people ties between South Korea and India.
I should also add that as an Indian, I was treated well by South Koreans during my stay in Seoul, South Korea for around 2 months in the early 1990s when I went there for a software project. I have nice memories of my stay there including having some super-spicy Kimchi! :-).
So I am really glad to see this industrialization partnership in high-tech area between South Korea and India. I now live in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, and so am very happy about another South Korean industrial firm, Kia Motors, setting up a manufacturing plant in nearby Penukonda.

I also added a similar (or same) comment to above Facebook post of (Indian PM) Narendra Modi.

13th July 2018 Update
Here's a relevant editorial article in The Hindu today (13th July 2018), Moon shine: on India-South Korea ties, https://www.thehindu.com/opinion/editorial/moon-shine-on-india-south-korea-ties/article24401229.ece. Its concluding sentence is: "At a time when U.S. foreign policy is capricious and unpredictable, and China’s is making purposeful moves towards global domination, it is important that the South Korea-India partnership grows and consolidates, to contribute to stability in the region." I completely agree with this concluding sentence.
