Interesting article on Indian govt's (Niti Aayog) plans to encourage growth of Artificial Intelligence solutions in India. The author, Priyanka Pulla, who seems to be a senior assistant editor at The Hindu, gives her view of the challenges involved based on experiences of some Indian AI companies (startup types mostly, it seems).
Like it or not, AI has become an important technology with tech. industry leaders from China too like Jack Ma of Alibaba giving a lot of importance to it, especially in the role it may play in the future. It is important for India not to get left behind in this vital technology.
