Great dangers of financial and legal challenges in democratic politics today, both in USA and India

Two of the great dangers of getting associated with politics today, both in the USA and in India, are the financial and legal challenges one may get embroiled into.

If Mr. Caputo is being truthful about having incurred around 125,000 US dollars as legal fees (as he perhaps needed legal advice to ensure that he does not get trapped into perjury or some other problem in his hearing/interview), and that he can ill afford it, then it is a sad situation.

Mr. Caputo says that he will never get associated with another Republican Party campaign again (due to this bad experience of financial and legal hassles).

He also talks of his family having to face a difficult time, face death threats etc. The death threats part is really freaky and very scary, as Mr. Caputo does not seem to have been a very big figure in the Trump campaign. I mean, he would not have much official protection.

And then I saw Mr. Rudy Guiliani's interview by Sean Hannity. Now I am not saying that everything they say is correct and truthful - I just don't know. But Mr. Guiliani is USA president Trump's lawyer. So he is giving an inner view of Mr. Trump's legal team's thoughts about Mr. Mueller's investigation. Guiliani hits very, very hard at ex FBI director, Mr. James Comey, as well as Mr. Mueller and his team.

Now I am a beneficiary and a lover & supporter of democracy. So I am completely against any foreign interference in the democratic elections of a country. Therefore I fully support USA Congress in their intention of doing a fair and impartial investigation of foreign interference in the 2016 USA presidential election, via the Special Counsel Mr. Robert Mueller.

But Mr. Mueller's investigation seems to have now got caught up in a political firestorm in the USA with the USA president and his team attacking it as being a partisan "witch-hunt"!!! That is a deeply worrying and deeply destabilizing outcome, so far, of this Mueller investigation.

I think the faster this Mueller investigation matter is concluded the better it will be, both for USA and for the world.

What a scary legal jeopardy thing top-level politics is in democracies in the world today, including USA and India! No wonder the politics field has a lot of lawyers. Perhaps their knowledge of the law helps them navigate the legal jeopardy traps of politics better than others.
