The USA seems to have always had a strange mix of God & guns. This video gives a picture of how it is in some parts of the USA in our turbulent times now. Please note that I am sharing this video and notes below as an observer and am not taking a stand for or against, on this matter.

@ around 0:45: Shows Bible (Old Testament) verse printed on a gun

@ around 3:15: A pastor in Kentucky, USA who encourages his following to bring guns to the church. This pastor also packs a gun himself (besides carrying a pocket Bible). "That we as Christian people can be people of faith and also be people of firearms. No contradiction." ... "We are going to talk about the fact that we can be Christian, a lover of God, and be supportive and impact our community, but also have an appreciation as Americans for the right to keep and bear arms."

Ravi: The 2nd amendment to the USA constitution, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution, "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

The pastor also held a raffle for attendees to his church service to win a free handgun. The raffle was held during the church service ("as part of an outreach"). Later the pastor is shown as being associated full time with a shooting range as a shooting instructor ("who is a shepherd").
Interviewees say that the gun is for protection and that it is their right ("given to me by God").

@ around 10:52: "It's all about freedom, you know. God offers us freedom through Jesus. Guns offers (us) freedom from government."

@ around 11:52 Self-styled tough guy, hunter and evangelist (preacher): McAllister. 9 guns being given away at the church service; 2 for children and 7 for adults; the draw is held after the service ...

"I already know Christ. I would rather win a gun."

@ around 19:20 Charleston, South Carolina shooting victims' relative(s) forgiving the shooter (young man).
