Some background first: I am novice smartphone user and started using a decent speed and features smartphone (Samsung M21) in mid 2020. Even after buying it, I did not invest too much time in learning how to improve my typing speed on it, and used slow one finger typing and did not delve much into features of the default Samsung on-screen keyboard, except perhaps for text shortcuts. I avoided doing any medium length and long messages stuff (say beyond 3 or 4 sentences max) on my smartphone and used my PC for those purposes which has a full QWERTY keyboard on which I type with quite good speed using all ten fingers of both hands. Even for WhatsApp messages of medium length, I would do it on PC using WhatsApp on web or on PC.

It is after my hospitalization in January 2022 that there were times when I did not have access to PC, and so was forced to use only the mobile for my messages and notes. Over the period of the past year, I have started using my phone a lot more than earlier for messages and notes, and for other work like reading email. Sometimes I don’t want to go through the somewhat longish process of turning on the PC to compose and send a medium sized message/mail and want to do that on the smartphone itself. That led me to explore improve my typing on smartphone, and I made some notes of it. I thought that instead of keeping these notes only as private info., I should share them as the public posts linked below as they may be of some help to others. I also explored some other features of M21 phone like Samsung Menu Assistant which I think could be useful for me.

Given below are these recent posts of mine on another blog about using Samsung M21 Android smartphone in a more effective way:
