It is great to see such pics being shared on Facebook. We get to understand the lives of common people which form the vast majority of a country or region, from such pics. History tends to focus more on big shots. Some movies about the past do try to show commoner life but one does not really know how well they portray it. These kind of pics (one presumes they are authentic) tell us so much about the lives of common people of the associated country/region then.

I have to add that one can see such knife grinders in Puttaparthi even today though they are dressed differently, of course!

Wonderful to see the exhilaration and joy of the Argentinian team and its captain and star Lionel Messi at getting the football (soccer) world cup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4G10AP2P29w , around 1 minute. They deserve every bit of this exhilaration and joy as they played exquisite football in the final. Their dribbling, one-touch/two-touch passes, knowing/anticipation of where their teamates are/would be and speed was sheer poetry. The second goal of Argentina stands out as a great example of their exquisite one-touch/two-touch passes, team play, speed and finishing: https://youtu.be/abZ_Qykqq9c?t=23.

An epic match! France looked so overwhelmed in the first half and initial part of the second half that it looked like being a washout of France by Argentina. The fight-back by France from then on, was awesome to see.

Overall though, I think Argentina was the better team on the day and deserved to win.

An audio mix made from Kishore and Rafi singing the same song from a 1969 Hindi film...

'Tum Bin Jaoon Kahan' Duet by Rafi Kishore mixed duet, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hyr_J73NIJ0 , 4 min. 43 secs.

This video has video clips of the songs and without any mixing of audio. But the quality of both audio and video are not so great:

Rafi & Kishore LEGENDS Tum Bin Jaoon Kahan Pyar Ka Mausam 1969, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdpUoqm_GTw , 8 min. 54 secs.

Some background from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyar_Ka_Mausam : "The theme song (Tum bin jaoon kahan) is played several times in the film: Mohammed Rafi's version is picturized on the hero Shashi Kapoor three times, while Kishore Kumar's version is picturized on Bharat Bhushan twice. The song is a key part of the movie like the key songs in later movies of Nasir Hussain (Yaadon Ki Baraat and Hum Kisise Kum Naheen). The key song helps in uniting long lost family/lovers in all three films."

...

A great live orchestra version giving an audio mix of Kishore & Rafi singing the song, possibly from 2020. The green jacket singer seems to be doing the Kishore rendition while the white jacket singer does the Rafi rendition.

Hmm. That's some food for thought even though one wonders how she came up with the numbers. [Susan Sontag wiki page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_Sontag .]
