PM Modi's address to the nation on COVID pandemic 2nd wave acknowledging its severe impact and then focusing on positive messages from India's COVID warriors on defeating COVID pandemic

PM Modi's address to the nation today (25th April 2021) focused on 2nd Corona wave which, PM Modi says, is a storm that has shaken the nation. Having acknowledged that impact, PM Modi interacts with doctors, nurses, an ambulance driver and a recovered COVID patient, in a positive spirit focused on defeating the COVID pandemic.

I very much liked these messages of PM Modi and the many COVID pandemic warriors of India that he interacted with in this video.

Some international media seem to have focused on the bad news, sensationalizing the pandemic's current impact on India. That I think is a one-sided negative view which will make the media channels a lot of money (as such sensationalist bad news captures many eyeballs).

The truthful picture is somewhere in between sensationalist bad news coverage of some international media outlets and this video of PM Modi.

The main thing is to not let sensationalist bad news from some international media channels which paint horrible pictures of the situation, grind us Indians down. Yes, from a per capita income point of view, India is a poor nation. Yes, perhaps due to that, India's public health infrastructure - the free govt. health services on which vast majority of India's population - poor and lower middle class - depend on for fighting COVID pandemic, is weak as compared to rich nations. Therefore the many COVID serious cases that India is facing now has overstretched the public health infrastructure in some areas of the country (not the whole country but some cities and some other areas).

But, surely, we will overcome. I very much liked the leadership PM Modi has demonstrated via this video message to Indians. I think that will raise the spirit of many Indians, and help us go through and overcome this current COVID pandemic crisis.
