Frank Abagnale: The young boy who became conman, went to prison, and then became a good man
Frank Abagnale, whose story is dramatized by Spielberg in Catch Me If You Can movie, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catch_Me_If_You_Can, reformed later on (after serving time in various prisons), and became a good guy helping FBI and others to catch financial fraud. So the story has a happy ending, and it seems that Spielberg decided to do the film because of the way the young boy who ran away from home & school due to the shock of seeing his parents getting divorced (when he was 16 years old) and got into fraudulent stuff, eventually became a good man helping the FBI, became a good husband and a good father to three children. Here's a great speech by the REAL Frank Abagnale recounting his life, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0X-LlwupIqc, 37 min 19 secs, published Jun 2013. Abagnale speaks very well and, in particular, the part of his talk covering his reformation is excellent. Worth taking the time to see the video, IMHO.
Here's his wiki page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Abagnale. He now heads an anti financial fraud company founded by him. He lives in Charleston, South Carolina and is 67 years old.
The movie is a great one. Leonardo Di Caprio does a super job as a conman and it is a Steven Spielberg film. Youtube has short one to two minute clips of it. Here are the first two clips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAeAqaA0Llg, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow8mG8qutkw.
