In response to comments on my Facebook post:  https://www.facebook.com/ravi.s.iyer.7/posts/2747311775485382, having above content, I wrote (slightly edited):

--Name-snipped-- - I think the movie is a reflection of the reality of human settlements where law and order are not strong. Note that even today there are many, many places in the world, especially in rural parts where law and order enforcement is not very effective.

Money power and gun/violence power people boss over the rest of the community. And women and children who are not protected by their family/friends become rather vulnerable - brutal reality of human settlements.

--Name-snipped-- - If you are interested in exposure to dramatic enactments of certain realities of human settlements where law & order is not so powerful, then I think the movie will be worth your time.

An example of a small country ***today*** where law & order is not effective - El Salvador in Central America: Hundreds of Salvadorans deported by US were killed or abused, report reveals, https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/feb/05/salvadorans-deported-us-killed-abused-report, 5th Feb. 2020.

Gunfight between Charles Bronson (Harmonica), the hero and Henry Fonda (Frank), the villain (unusually), with flashback showing how a younger Frank had brutally hanged Harmonica's older brother with young boy Harmonica holding his brother's weight but eventually collapsing leading to older brother getting hanged. The movie is Once Upon a Time in the West.

Charles Bronson as the Harmonica player who can shoot too! The still pic preview shows Jason Robards who, on watching Bronson shoot, says, "He not only plays, he can shoot too." Prior to this scene in the movie, Robards has encountered and interacted with Bronson in a bar. In that scene, Bronson plays the harmonica (and does not shoot though he gives his gun to Robards, a fleeing bandit who also is handcuffed then).
